Jim Burke, president and owner of Guardian Title of Kentucky, has been working in the title and escrow business for more than 30 years. During that time, he has handled literally thousands of sale and loan closings. From $5,000 refinances to $100 million-dollar commercial office building sales, Jim has the experience to count on.

 

In his home city of Los Angeles, California, Jim began his career in banking and lending in the mid-1980’s. By 1988 he moved over to escrow and closings. Finding a natural talent in commercial title and as an escrow officer, he worked at both Southern California Title Company and Gateway Title Company in L.A., as well as being on staff as a senior escrow officer at the prestigious Beverly Hills Escrow.

 

In 1998, after moving his family to Louisville, Kentucky, Jim joined the dedicated team at Guardian Title Corporation, where he had worked for 22 years as the Director of Title Operations under owner/attorney Lawrence Abrams. In August 2020, Guardian Title Corporation ceased operations, and now Jim serves as the president and owner of Guardian Title of Kentucky, LLC, utilizing the same personnel and location as Guardian Title Corporation.
